Community Referral Portal
A secure portal for referring agents to submit food bank referrals and track support for those in need.
From registering as an agent to someone collecting their food parcel — five steps that change lives.
Step 01 — Getting Started
Authorised professionals — social workers, GPs, schools, or support workers — register for a free account. The Daventry Food Bank team reviews and approves access before any referrals can be made.
Step 02 — The Referral
Approved agents complete a referral form on behalf of someone in crisis — capturing household size, dietary requirements, and the circumstances behind the need, giving the food bank everything required to prepare an appropriate parcel.
Step 03 — The Parcel
Our dedicated volunteers receive the referral details and carefully assemble a tailored parcel. Items are selected based on family size and dietary needs — ensuring every parcel is practical, respectful, and nutritious.
Step 04 — The Notification
Once the parcel is ready, the food bank contacts the individual directly — by phone or SMS — to confirm the collection details. They're given a specific time and location so they can collect with dignity and without a long wait.
Step 05 — Collection
The individual visits the food bank at the agreed time to collect their tailored parcel. The referral is marked complete and the referring agent is notified — closing the support loop.
